100 Follower Challenge

Phew! What a week this has been--and it's only Tuesday! Forgive me for not posting on my usual day. Between having company in town and preparing for the RWA conference, I've been swamped.

So, I need more followers on this blog. Yes, yes I know, we just started and it's still a baby blog blah blah blah. Those are not good enough excuses. I created this site to document my writing/publication journey. One of the things that will make that publication happen, is if I secure an agent. And guess what? Agents are impressed by writers who already have a following and a well-read blog. What does that mean? We need more followers. Let's get to the good stuff!

Today is the official opening of my 100 Follower Challenge! The rules are simple and here is how it works.

We are going to do everything we can to secure 100 followers. If we manage to do this by August 17th, then we'll be having a special giveaway. In order to be entered into the giveaway you must:

--Be a follower of this blog

--Leave me a comment introducing yourself

If you do this, you automatically receive one entry into the contest.

However, if you post links to this challenge on either Facebook or Twitter, and provide me with the proof of you doing so, you will receive one additional entry for each tweet or post.

Furthermore, for every person who follows this blog and tells me that you referred them, you get an additional two entries. And even further, for every person who devotes a post to this on their own blog, you will receive an additional three entries.

Sound good? Now onto the prize.

I will be giving away an awesome copy of Linger by Maggie Stiefvater.

I'll be honest, I haven't actually read this book yet. But I have heard many wonderful things about this YA paranormal and will soon be cracking it open (and possibly giving it a future review). I had originally asked for requests of what everyone would like to see as the prize, but since I received no response, this is what I came up with.

Hopefully this all sounds good! The rest of my week will be consumed with attending the RWA Conference in Orlando, right near my home--yay for no hotel costs! I will try as hard as possible to get my regular posts in, but I cannot promise. I can promise that when the conference is finished, I will have plenty of things to post about.

Now get to following and posting! The clock is ticking! Until next time! ;-)

  1. Maggie Stiefvater is a fabulous author. I read Shiver a few months ago, and am in the middle of Linger right now. Both books are a MUST read. Great contest, girlie!

  4. Thanks, Lisa! I've been wanting to read the books, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. Do they go in any particular order? I don't want to be giving out the wrong one haha. For some reason I thought Linger came first.
