Trueblood Finale Talk/ Blog Hop

Happy Saturday everyone! Isn't the picture for today yummy? He looks so delicious I could just lick him from head to toe lol.

I know I usually post on Friday's but I have been just so busy lately that my posts have been at odd times. I promise we'll get back into the swing of things this week--our usual posts on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Since neither of our two winners for the 100 Follower Challenge came forward to claim their prize (shame on you! *wags finger*), I'm announcing two new winners! Courteosy of our random generator our two new winners are........*drum roll*.....................................

Godlybandgeek07 and Karen G!!! Congrats! Please contact me at my email address under my contact page with "Challenge Winner" in the email title by Friday, September 24th or we will draw two more winners. You may pick one book from the giveaway vault and please let me know which you choose in your email. It's a first come first serve basis.

Now onto the post!

This past Sunday was the season finale of Trueblood and man, did the season seem to go by fast or what? I can't wait until it starts again next summer, even though I am excited about the premiere of Boardwalk Empire tomorrow night.

While season three started off with a bang by bringing in the non-CGI werewolves and a series of plot twists, overall I feel that this was the most disappointing season yet. Granted there were some good moments: Eric and Sookie making out anyone? =D But nevertheless, the season as a whole was rather disappointing. They strayed very very far from the original books plot line, so much so that I'm afraid they won't be able to fix it for some of the best parts of the series.

SPOILER FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN'T READ THE BOOKS (DON'T READ): How in the world are they going to set up for Eric's memory loss? I'm not quite sure whether they will be able to pull that off well, but I suppose we'll see. And killing Calvin Norris sure does screw up a ton of later plots with the were-panthers. Not to mention they brought the faerie plot line, as well as the panthers and Crystal in way too early.

ALRIGHT YOU CAN LOOK AGAIN NON-READERS: I think the finale was the most disappointing of all the episodes this season. Eric, aka Alexander Skarsgard, managed to look super sexy, like drool-worthy man of my dreams sexy despite being covered in concrete. Also, Sookie kicked Bill out of her house, which also greatly pleased me. But besides these two aspects I didn't feel like there was anything that stood out as specifically good. Yes, it was entertaining, but it certainly wasn't a finale quality episode.

So, I'd like to hear what you think. Did you like the season finale of Trueblood? Were you disappointed? Why? Also, let me know whether you just watch the show or if you've read the books.

Also, don't forget it's Friday, which means it's blog hop time! You know the drill, but in case you don't, it's posted below. Remember to say you're stopping by from Nocturnal Readings!
