Follow Friday/ Blog Hop

Happy Friday, everyone! Hope you've all had as great a week as I have. I've been a busy bee, as usual. I've been working on a literary short story I wrote that I'm submitting to the Albion Review (a national short story compilation for undergraduate students) in hopes of it getting published in their issue. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Today we have another blog hop and follow friday for you. Today's blog hop question is: "what is the one bookish thing you'd love to have, no matter the cost?"

One bookish thing I'd like to have, no matter the cost, is to see my book turned into a movie! Does that count as a bookish thing lol? I've always dreamed of having my book be on the big screen, where I can actually see my characters right in front of me.

Don't forget about our NaNoWriMo Giveaway! I'm handing out a BRAND NEW copy of Karin Harlow's paranormal romance, Enemy Lover. To enter, scroll up and look at the pages. Click on the page that says "NaNoWriMo Giveaway." You MUST be a follower of this blog to enter.

Now hop to it and enter the contest, and then go make some new book blog buddies! Til Monday ;-)

  7. Fingers crossed for you Kaitlyn :)
When do you find out if your story is accepted for publication?

  8. BookGirl--Thanks! It depends on when I hear back from everyone. It's out with a couple different agents right now. If one of them wants to represent it, then they would start sending it out to major publishing houses and we'd wait for a response from the publishers. Larger publishing houses usually won't take submissions unless you have an agent. Although at the RWA conference, I got lucky and had two requests from publishers: Harlequin Teen and Belle Bridge Books. I don't know when I'll hear back from them though. It's just a matter of waiting.

  9. BookGirl--Opps! I just realized you meant the short story, not the novel lol. They haven't announced an exact date yet, but it will be a few months for sure.
