Presenting: Moonlight Mania

Happy Friday, everyone! Hope you all had a great week. Today I've got something interesting to announce!

Nocturnal Readings is starting it's own blog hop! That's right, the title of this post, Moonlight Mania, is our new blog hop. 'Why Moonlight Mania?', you ask. How often do you find a really really fantastic book that you just can't put down? That keeps you up into the wee hours of the night, manically flipping pages until you reach the epic ending. What does this have to do with a blog hop? I'll explain.

Moonlight Mania is open to any and all book bloggers--regardless of genre. Though I ask that no one enter Twitter accounts onto the linky list. Blogs only!

Here's how it works. To participate in the hop, you must be a follower of this blog. After you're a follower, enter your-name@ Blog's name (genres you review) into the linky list. For example, Kaitlyn@ Nocturnal Readings (YA, UF, PNR). Get it? Then once you've entered the linky list, copy and paste the beautiful blog button into a post on your blog. Check it out:

Isn't it beautiful?! My wonderful friend, Britt Marczak, made it. She's amazing! Thanks, Britt!

The hop will start at 11:59pm every Thursday night (except this week it started a little late lol). Each week we'll have a different midnight reading themed question. Although, you regular readers don't fret. I'll still be making my regular posts on Friday's after this along with the blog hop.

So ready set go! Enter into the linky list below and have fun hoping! And don't forget to answer the blog hop question in your own blog post!

This week's question is: What book do you have sitting on your nightstand? What's been keeping you up late reading?

My answer: The book that has had me flipping pages in Donald Maass' The Career Novelist. It's a great non-fiction book about the publishing industry. I can't say it's keeping me up at night, but I am enjoying it and it is sitting on my nightstand.

Have fun on the hop!

  1. Great meme idea and a beautiful button! I love blog hop memes so much, they're a lot of fun. I can't get the button to work for me atm, but it's probably because I'm so so tired and it's really late here, so I'll add it tomorrow =]

My answer for the Crazy-for-Books hop: I always end of reading several books at a time. As an English major, I'm usually reading one or more books for school while simultaneously reading for pleasure. =)

  4. Great meme idea. Surprisingly, I'm hooked on a biography of Queen Elizabeth II. It's kind of soap opera-y and I'm sure some things are exaggerated but it's very interesting.

  5. Alison--Thanks for stopping by! I'm glad you like the hop =) That sounds like an interesting book. Have you ever watched The Tudors? It's kind of similar sounding, so you'd probably like it. Have a great weekend! =)
