Follow Friday #96

Happy Friday, everyone! I'm sure you're all glad it's the weekend! And the weekend means, it's time for some blog hopping. So please hop on over to Parajunkee's View or Alison Can Read, and hop around to some new blogs. You can also participate in the social media hop as well and our second blog hop at Crazy-for-Books! So have fun and check out my answer to the weekly blog hop question below. Cheers!

This week's question: This Sunday in the U.S is Mother's Day. In celebration, what are some of your favorite books with strong mother/child relationships?

My Answer: Honestly, the only book I can think of that has a prominent mother/child relationship is Harry Potter. I think the love from Harry's mother protecting him for all those years is a beautiful thing.

Second hop question: Who is your favorite book character? I'll give you a maximum of two choices, but they have to be from different genres.

My Answer: Well until recently, I would've said hands down that Eric Northman was my favorite fictional character. But I don't like what Charlainne Harris has been doing to him in the later Southern Vampire Novels, so I'm a little reluctant to say that still. My second favorite character from a different genre would have to be Katniss Everdeen from the Hunger Games. She's strong, kickass, and awesome. But of course, none of the above listed characters top my own characters for my favorites ;-)

Book Blogger Hop
On Monday we're going to have a review of Ally Condie's YA dystopian novel, Crossed, the second novel in the Matched Trilogy! Don't miss out =)

  3. haha i would pick eric northman from the dead to the world book. Just seeing him being loving and almost innocent was interesting. But he is a viking, so what can we do. :)

    1. Liz,

I loved Eric in Dead to the World, but I think it was the little things when he was actually being Eric that made me love him. Love in the first book where he gives Sookie "vagina flowers" when she's in the hospital and the second one with him in a bright pink jumpsuit when they were at the orgy trying to solve the crime. HILARIOUS lol.

Thanks for following! Have a great weekend!

  6. I thought about Harry but since his mother is dead I thought the relationship was a tad one sided which is just so sad.
