Review: Eve of Samhain by Lisa Sanchez

First let me start off by saying that Lisa Sanchez is a very talented debut author. This is definitely someone you will want to watch out for because she's a rising star. Keep your eyes open for her, because I anticipate it won't be long before she's a big name. Now for the review!

Lisa did an amazing job with this novel. The characters and storyline are absolutely unforgettable. Her hero, Quinn Donnegan, is permanently in my top ten hottest fictional hunks--in other words, that means he is absolutely smoking hot.

While reading this book, chills shivered down my spine--and in a great way. There are romantic moments that will make your heart swell and your eyes fill with tears, lots of hilarious snappy dialogue that will have you laughing like mad, and of course, a hero that makes your skin burn hot and your whole body tingle.

Let me give you her back cover blurb; it will hook you and draw you in. This is seriously a great read and should be either on your "to be read list", in your hot little hand, or on your bookshelf along with all your other favorites. Here it is:

"
As a college senior and server at Hanaford Park's hottest nightclub, twenty one year old Ryann Pierce's plan was simple: work hard, make lots of money, and avoid the ass-grabbers at all costs. What she never planned for was Quinn Donegan-- the living, breathing advertisement for sinful behavior that waltzed into her life.

With an angelic face, a hard body and a butt-load of charm, Quinn had a way with the ladies––a lot of ladies. Cursed with a deadly, addictive touch, his trail of indiscretion blazed across five hundred years. Tired and jaded, Ryann is a shocking revelation Quinn didn't see coming.

Filled with desire, yet unable to touch one another, Ryann and Quinn embark on a daunting journey, battling frustration physical limitations while exploring their new love. In a race against the clock, Ryann learns she must plead for Quinn's life before...the Eve of Samhain. Determined to end her lover's suffering, not even the danger dogging her every move can keep her from her mission."
Sounds like a wonderful read, right? Well it doesn't disappoint! In my opinion, it's the unforgettable characters that make this novel a total success. The hero, Quinn, is crass, arrogant, and full of pride, but that is exactly what we love him for. All of his flaws make him such a real character. He leaps of the page. As much as I could sing Quinn's praises all day long, he isn't the only outstanding character. The heroine, Ryann, is someone that we could all be friends with. She's sweet but sassy, easy for female readers to identify with, and her inner thoughts will leave you cracking up. Combine the dynamic duo along with a quirky group of supporting characters and you've got a recipe for a great, character driven novel. This is all around a great read and I would recommend it to any romance reader; especially those who like fantasy, paranormal, or sexy Irish alpha males whose crass humor could make a sailor blush.

This is a fantastic debut novel and I definitely look forward to more work from Lisa Sanchez. Eve of Samhain should be on every romance lover's reading list, and because of this, Nocturnal Readings presents Eve of Samhain with a rating of full moon--the mother of all awesome ratings!
