Blog Hop/Follow Friday

Get ready for some hopping! I've got three different blog hops for you to participate in this weekend. The first is Follow Friday, courtesy of Parajunkee's View. The second is the Book Blogger Hop, courtesy of Jenn at Crazy-for-Books. The third is an adult's only blog hop, courtesy of Bitten by Paranormal Romance (you must be 18 or older to participate)--this is for adult romance or erotica fans. Please check out these lovely blogs as well as those listed on their site. Send people over my way, if you can, and enjoy the hop! Below is my answer to the question from Crazy-for-Books.

Book Blogger Hop"When you read a book that you just can't get into, do you stick it out and keep reading or move to your next title?"

For the most part, I usually stick it out. Normally, I only read books that are recommended to me by friends or that I am certain that I will like. I don't think I've ever set a book down because I didn't like it. If a book is so-so, I'll finish it in hopes that it gets better. But if I were to find one I thought was absolutely horrible, I wouldn't even bother to waste my time. For example, there is a series I'm reading right now that my friends tell me is really good. I'm on the third book and I'm still not really feeling it. They're okay, but definitely not my fav and I don't know that I'd recommend them to anyone. They're not really my cup of tea, but since they're okay I'm compelled to read them in hopes that my friends are right and they actually are amazing. However, the moment they take a turn for the worse I will be finished; thus far, they've remained so-so. Speaking of reading, we have a review coming up on Monday--so make sure you stop back in--I have a feeling it will be a good one. Peace! ;-)

  1. Just hoppin' on by to say "Hi!"
I will stick with it and finish a book even if I don't like it. And if it's part of a series I will finish that too. I feel like I'm going to miss something incredible if I don't. LoL
    Happy reading this weekend!

  2. Happy Follow Friday!!! Hope you will stop by my blog too! My publisher and I are looking for a group of bloggers for a huge blog tour next year before the release of book two in my 'A Sense of Truth' series! We will be giving out a few more copies of The Thirteenth Chime (we can only give out so many, being open to e-books gives an upper hand) and are still open to all interviews and guest posts. We want to fill up the Amazon page with reviews and try to reach as many people as we can!!! Hope you might consider being a part of the team! Thank you either way!

    Sincerely,

  5. Crystal- Welcome! Thanks for stopping by. I know what you mean about feeling like you will miss something incredible lol. That's exactly what drives me to keep reading.

Emma- I would gladly participate in your blog tour. I haven't read your first novel, but if you check out my review policy, maybe we can work something out. =)

Christine- Welcome and thank you! I'm glad you like it. I try to keep it simple and clean cut looking. I hate when I have to scroll all over a blog to find something, because there is stuff everywhere lol.

Laurie- Thanks for stopping by! I will definitely be back next week ;-)

  13. I feel you on feeling you need to read a recommended book, however, my friends read as much as I do, and we don't always agree, so I will give up on something they hand me that just isn't my thing.

Check out my Blog Hop and Follow Friday HERE!

  15. See... if I am not into a book, I just cant read it. My attention need to be on a lot of things, and if my mind isn't completely into something like a book, I can't continue it.
    Happy Reading!
