Blog Hop/Follow Friday

"When you read a book that you just can't get into, do you stick it out and keep reading or move to your next title?"

For the most part, I usually stick it out. Normally, I only read books that are recommended to me by friends or that I am certain that I will like. I don't think I've ever set a book down because I didn't like it. If a book is so-so, I'll finish it in hopes that it gets better. But if I were to find one I thought was absolutely horrible, I wouldn't even bother to waste my time. For example, there is a series I'm reading right now that my friends tell me is really good. I'm on the third book and I'm still not really feeling it. They're okay, but definitely not my fav and I don't know that I'd recommend them to anyone. They're not really my cup of tea, but since they're okay I'm compelled to read them in hopes that my friends are right and they actually are amazing. However, the moment they take a turn for the worse I will be finished; thus far, they've remained so-so. Speaking of reading, we have a review coming up on Monday--so make sure you stop back in--I have a feeling it will be a good one. Peace! ;-)
